matching bones in an x-ray images

hello sir..

This Ankita Sharma

i am doing my final year project which require to match the bone present in x-ray images mainly skull,chest and arm.I have gone through your code for edge based shape matching in openCv.
We are using java advance Image Library JAI for image processing.

My Question is that
Will The same procedure you followed in your algorithm will help to match bone in an x-ray images.Or some different approach.I have gone through skeletonization ,Chain code so that i will be able to match shape...

It will we gratefull if u suggest a way by which do bone matching in x-ray image
