Good grief ! Have I been unaware of yet another CP feature ?
"Singapore no long time." Response of Singapore taxi-driver to me on March 15, 2012, while en-route to the Thai Embassy, when I asked him if it would take a long time to get there, as we were stopped in heavy am traffic.
This article submission wizard is rather instable: under certain circumstances I can not upload files any more, or IE crashes after a while, etc.
I could live with that when I don't loose all my editings every time. How to get to an article/tip that was under construction while the IE crashed?
The original link returns to the empty data (article is gone, uploaded data is gone, changed title is gone, the publish link changes it's magic number somewhere in the path. Trying to access the publish link does not help neither...
The data is still there, I'm sure, but how to get it "back" into that (st..id) Wizard?
Any help is very much appreciated - also if it says: "nop, that .... is lost!" (then I don't have to search for it).
PS: How do you compose articles in that environment? What tools do you suggest? That Wizard is a pain in the neck - not worth much if the data size exceeds some trivial size...
Ah, that was it! the list of autosaved articles! Thanks a lot!
I have IE9. The files are tiny (7x about 4KB GIF files, and one 5KB ZIP file).
The effect is intermittent - may be that some files could not be uploaded or that the Add File button has no effect any more after a while (e.g. add a file and try to add another file after a while). Before that happened, I switched forth and back between HTML and raw view, did some Preview to see the line numbers, etc.).
BTW: Independently of the abov: in the HTML view, the line numbering is never visible - and can I start the line numbering at some other number, say 47 instead of 1?
I could achieve my goal, i.e. it worked for me.
After tweeking a bit with countstart I think I found that it only works if the <pre... tag is on the same line as the first code line. Otherwise, the count starts at 1.
I did not use countincrement.
Looking at your account I think next week you should receive it just fine. I have sent you this week's in the interim, please let me know if you received it OK (and next week if something goes wrong, please send me an email as well and we will investigate further).
Apologies for not following up sooner, but your account's new email had not been confirmed, so I requested a new confirmation email be sent to you, and it looks like your account is now all good. Tomorrow morning your fix should arrive.
When I click "Bookmark" on a Lounge post, the link text becomes "Forum Message is already bookmarked", which is fine and dandy, but it is still a link. It should probably become plain text at that point. Or maybe say "Click To Remove Bookmark".
Also, "Forum Message is already bookmarked" is inconsistent casing. Should probably be "Forum Message is Already Bookmarked".
Is this the "no help" where the answer was given to you two days ago?

While updating my tip with the Article Submission Wizard Beta I encountered an interesting behavior with the code-highlighting when pasting code directly from Visual Studio 2010.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Article -> Submit an Article or Tip
2. Click on the first button on the right ("Submit a Tip or Trick") under "To post using the online Submission Wizard"
3. Remove all the content in the editor
4. Copy (Strg+C) a piece of code directly from Visual Studio
5. Insert (Strg+V) this piece of code
6. Click on preview
The result expected:
The code is displayed with highlighting.
The result actually:
The code is messed up with html-tags and unreadable.
Before 5. insert the code into notepad, select all and copy it again (this will remove the html-format from clipboard, so the WYSIWYG-editor will only get plain-text-format).
Windows 7, Visual Studio 2010 Professional, Firefox 11.

Maybe its me but I kinda miss having the php forum. Everytime I come back to CP, I feel like I just got back to my hometown after being away to find out that the house I grew up in was torn down...kind of a bummer
