Is it possible to send email attachments from SQL server?

I need to send order confirmation document to customers. I know it is possible to send email attachment from the application side. Please help me whether can I do it from sql server.

A very quick search using part of your subject as the search term gave over a million hits: send email attachments from SQL server - Google Search[^]
