I am changing the value of max_allowed_packet value in my-medium.ini.But it cant updated.How can I solve this problem.

Solution 1

My guess is that you are using MySql, correct?

my-medium.ini is ONLY a template on how to build up a active configuration.
The active configuration is typical my.ini.

And and change the value in my.ini file and restart the MySql to activate changes.
