clrscr() would work on c++ too if you are working in a Windows Environment

It depends. In a modern Windows system you cannot clear the complete screen, you can only clear your current active window. If your current window is a command window then you use the cls command. If it is a Windows window then you use the appropriate code in your OnPaint() method.
