What kind of? What is the easiest solution to get rid of this disappointing situation? Do I have to convert my site to some other type now in order to be compatible?

1 solution

The minimum suggested requirements for WebMatrix hosting are Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS 7, and both ASP.NET 4.0 and 3.5 available (How to config the host for webmatrix?[^]), but in my experience Windows Server 2008 is enough.
If you want to try to install WebMatrix on IIS 6 this thread could help: WebMatrix w/ IIS 6?[^]

Did your sites include databases? Did you have any problems with them? I have a sql CE one in my app. And by the way the cshtml files seems not to be recognized by the host as a supporting file type. (Did you have the same problem?)

My sites use both SQL CE and SQL Server 2008 Express.
After installing Web Server Components I haven't experienced any problem.
