Hi,

I'm a newbee and have got a little project that I'm stuck on. I wan to be able to send and recieve data with a COMport on my PC via a web page. Something like an embedded terminal program in my web page.

I can communicate fine with RealTerm terminal program fine.

Thanks in anticipation

Nev

Sorry about the mix up regarding the solution and question thing. I'm a bit new to all this.

Anyway Windows 7 PC. Keen to learn any program that will assist in working a solution to my project. I just don't know really to start. Maybe I'm just barking up the wrong tree. Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks

Platform? Programming language? It cannot be HTML; of course not.

None of HTML codes or a Web application cannot access such things (on a client system). You need to use some programming system, some programming language. Communication via a RS-232 port is really easy, but it depends on your platform and programming system (language, compiler, libraries) you use. It can be compiled language or even a scripting language (for example, it's easy to do with Microsoft PowerScript). You you specify what you are using or your preferences, you can get more help.
