I am a developer familiar with vs 2008.Now I want to use vs 2012.But please help which edition should I be install to develop windows application as well as web application(asp.net).

You can download visual studio 2012 from here[^]. There you can find the description of Visual Studio software and it's development packs. You can select the packs according to your need.

I have found that vs2012 express has two versions,for web and for windows desktop.have I to download the two?

Yes you have to download both of them if you want. Otherwise go for the Ultimate, Premium and Professional editions, which will be fully featured..
