In ASP.Net Website the ids on a user page changes on theclient side.How to deny this?

For eg If I assign id="abc" to a control having runat="server" it id change to ct100_abc. So how to avoid this. I am using .NET 3.0 and VB. Thanks in advance

In newer versions, you could use ClientIDMode Property[^]
