Tried many things, but I can't get the Gantt chart to show weekend dates in the specified color.
The current date color does not work either.
Am I missing something?

I have several tasks in one list and I found it puzzled that there are two kinds of tasks which has two different colors. One is black and the other is blue. I don't know where do they have different colors. It seems that they have no different attributes.

I was really curious about the differences among these sites: the google group, the site here, and http://abstractspoon.com/ ...
What site is the best way to learn todolist?

For many years, when I'd mark tasks as completed, they would be transferred to another tasklist, which I could cause to show up in a tab with the label ending in "(Archive)." That tasklist would have a Windows file name that included "done."
I'm not sure what I changed to stop the creation of these archive tasklists, but I'd like to start creating them again--or at least be able to add to an existing archive tasklist.
Please advise how to do that.

I'd like to have a selection of the the Task Attribute fields (Due Date, Due Time, etc.) display at the bottom of each TaskList I create. That's not happening.
Please advise how to get that to happen by default, and also to display the fields when a TaskList is opened that does not show them.

The 7.2 version has added a very useful Week Planner view.
However, there is too little room to place our plans.
Since we usually have only 10 hours awake, is it possible to optionally hide sleeping hours, lunch time and weekends from the view so the plans can have more vertical rooms?

Dan recently commented in the Google Group that handling for workdays/workhours needs to be improved. I suggest you post your comments and requests there.

It would be nice to have a day offset feature within the recurring area for yearly tasks in the 3rd section, "the third monday of November". Implement two boxes, one to select # of days, and another to select before or after.
Specific use example: I want a task to occur the Monday before thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the 4th Thursday of November. I can't select the fourth Monday of November as that will not always be the Monday before Thanksgiving (as is the case with 2018).
Thanks

If there are a lot of tags and priorities chosen (or marked) to view particular tasks, it then takes time to unmark those each time. The suggestion is to ad some button, which could erase or unmark all chosen priorities, tags, etc.
I hope i've explained well enough the suggestion, that to my mind will make program better and more useful. Otherwise program is great.

@FerdinandO-o : Select all of the tasks that you want to change, then in the edit area set the single value that you want to apply to all tasks. In your case, just clear the priority or tag field. No other tasks will be affected, and no other fields are affected.
I suggest posting all notes in the Google Group.

A pair of potential features:
- The ability to change the creation date. Sometimes I want to sort my items by date, but I don't want to have to add to a seperate Start Date field, I'd rather just change the existing Creation Date to the past if I forgot to add the item yesterday.
- It would be nice if I could set a default category that new tasks get added to.

Hi, well the question in the title really but some background: Say I wanted to add two number fields and store the result in a third (custom) field? Is that possible, and how would I do it?
As a workaround I could operate on the automatic csv export in Excel and then immediately reimport the entire tdl, but that is bit sledgehammery... I was hoping a native method was available - or UDT as a middle option.
Aside - I also noticed that a UDT that I wrote a few weeks ago isn't working now and wonder if something broke in relation to custom fields, specifically copying a start date? (i had set up the custom field bc the support material had stated that only a 'like' field type would work and i tested that OK... But now nothing happens).
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this great app! I'm wondering if it's possible to add more option in the recurrence field such as quarterly, fortnightly or may be a custom option for user to set x monthly, x weekly?
Thanks!
|
|
|
|
|
recurrence already offer 'every x months' and 'every x weeks' options, what is the problem with them ?
If it is only to save typing the number of months or weeks, I fear it will not be done.
The recurrence window have been worked years ago and offer a large set of possibilities. Tells us if a possibility of general usage is missing.

Sorry for the delay.
I'll have a closer look asap and get back to you.
Is this happening after upgrading your Linux box or using a newer version of TDL?
It would be helpful to get a bit more information in regard to your last working setup (like version of Manjaro, wine, TDL, etc.) and what has changed since.

It happened to me as well. This happened After upgrading from Ubuntu 17.10 to 18.04 (wine must have been also upgraded from 2.0.2 to 3).
The only way I could make ToDoList run again, was by running winecfg and setting comctl32.dll to use the builtin binary. But then ToDoList looses it's touch (fonts and its gui gets messed up).

I'll do some tests soon and see what I can find.

I've meanwhile run some tests using PlayOnLinux to test newer WINE versions. With both, 3.12 (x86) as well as 3.12 (amd64) I had no issues running even the newest TDL version (7.2.RC2).
BUT at this time I was only able to run the tests on Ubuntu based systems.
