My friend Miguel Pinto and myself, decided to participate in this competition and build a Simple Instant Messaging Service (SIMS) running on Windows Azure.

It will be created & deployed as a Cloud Service (PaaS) and autoscalable using The Autoscaling Application Block (WASABi). We also wish to make use of Windows Azure Storage Services, Service Bus and Virtual Machines.

Going Mobile!

By the end of this competition we also wish to build a native (WP8, Android or iOS) mobile app that will use our SIMS.
