As you can tell "Urgent help needed" is not a title that gets much attention.

Hi all,
I m working on a multilanguage project in ASP.net C# v2.0.
I created a namespace "language.eng" and defined some text string within it.
Now, I want to include it after checking the configuration is set to language english.
Let say, if(Session["lang"].tostring() == "english") then I want to include this namespace so that I can use the strings value...
Same, if(Session["lang"].tostring() == "spanish") then I want to include "language.spenish" namespace.
How can I do this.
Please help.
Thanks in Advance.

<asp:ChangePassword ID="ChangePassword1" runat="server">

I don't want to use this layout. Is there a another way of creating my own layout?? Please send a link of an article that I can go and read about.
The same goes for when creating a new user.

Why not try applying differnt themes/skins for your required look and feel to the control.

You're not understanding the question. I can use the current controls, but I want the text maybe to be above the textbox, so I will have to you my own layout. With the login control I had to use something like a LayoutTemplate. Is thre something for this change password control?

You can easily convert it to the template and customize the look and feel of the control in the way you want.

Hi,
I using the Login control in .NET 2.0. I am also using <LayoutTemplate> to create my own login screen.
Whenever the user signs in, it redirects him to the default page of the website, but I want it to redirect him to the default page of the admin section. Is the a property that I can set in this control instead of redireting him/her via C# code?
I hope someone can help.

Hi,
I'm getting confused at to what the ? and * mean in the web.config file.
For example:
<system.web>
<authorization>
<allow roles="administrators" />
<deny users="*" />
</authorization>
</system.web>
I know it allows only members with an administrators role, but what would happen if I were to change the * to a ?
Lets say I have a backend admin section, so I put a web.config file in the /admin/ folder with the above configuration, so it doesn't matter what page is being opened, it will take you to a login screen if you are not in this role. But what if I have a .aspx page that I want to display to the user when he/she signs off, like a SignOff.aspx page. If this page signs of a user then it redirects back to the login page, with the return url pointing back to the Signoff.aspx page.
I hope some one can help me in my confusuion.

* means any user
? means logged in users
so
<allow roles="administrators">
<deny users="?">
means that there are no rules set for loggein users that are not administrators ...
|
|
|
|
|
for some reason I can't edit my previous post to enable html tags; the missing script is:
allow roles="administrators"
deny users="?"

Actually:
+ *: all users.
+ ?: anonymous user.

I am working on a project which has a number of classes, these classes have all been compiled into a dll which is added to the solution as a Reference. I have made some changes to one of the classes but I am getting a compile error saying the code I added is not a member of the class, I have been told this is due to the dll not being compiled.
How can I get this compiled?

You need to compile the project whose dll you are using.

The dll project should be a different project, and the project which referencing the dll also in the same solution. First you compile the dll (class library) project, then try to compile other project. If still you are getting error means, remove the reference and add it again.
