Based on the information provided by you, we doubt that.
Further, the object name 'Menus' doesn't sound like a schema issue. It might be something related to your code or configuration.
What's the point of doing a Hit-N-Try to resolve your issue? You should first find the reason and then try to make changes.

what is 'Menus' ?
do you have a table or stored procedure with this name?
if you have any query using this table or stored procedure ,make sure that the 'Menus' is in the database.

what is 'Menus'[2]?
if Menus are a database schema and you use this schema in procedures, functions or tables problably this schema doesn't exist in production database. create them and resolve.

I want to add PDFBox-0.7.3.dll using global assembly cache but it fails, raising unable to add selected assembly, the assembly must have strong name. How to give assembly strong name?
Thanks

How does strong naming depends on .NET framework version?

Both Client side and server side validation must be there.
Client side validation will help in better usability, because if user enters some wrong entry
then you'll show the error message from client side itself.So there will be no postback.
Server side is also required because say a user enters right entry from user interface but during posting the data to server some malicious user changed the entered value in some way, then in this case server side validation will be required.and wrong data would not be saved.
Keep in mind, this will only take place when user enters right value from User Interface

If you are using any of the Client Side validation control, please make sure you are using Page.IsValidate at the server side. If some one disable the javascript of browse, client side validator will never works as this runs on Javascript. Page.IsValidate is ensure that each control validatation at server end. If use check
If(Page.IsValidate)
{
}
else
{
}
When you Check for Page.IsValidate , ASP.NET Call Validate() method for each and every control to ensure the validation pass, if one of them fails, it will return false.
Hope this give you clear idea.
Thanks !

Hi friends,

i have used both client side and as well as server side controls.

It's time for a new signature.

Hello Guys,
I am doing sample in order to improve my .Net Skill.
this is my code:
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Linq;
using System.Web;
using System.Data;
using System.Data.Common;
using System.Data.SqlClient;
namespace Sample.App_Code.DataAccessLayer
{
public class ItemDB
{
public static int Save(Item NewItem)
{
int result = 0;
using (SqlConnection myConnection = new SqlConnection(AppConfiguration.ConnectionString))
{
SqlCommand myCommand = new SqlCommand("sprocInsertUpdateSingleItem", myConnection);
myCommand??????????????????
}
return result;
}
}
}
whenever after . I press spacebar to get the list of command properties, I can't see anythings. for example at the top of program, when I use
using system.??????
I can't see system.data
could you please tell me what could the problem?

This is not an ASP.NET question, it is a tool question. I will assume you are using some edition of Visual Studio, and for some reason are not getting Intellisense to work for you.
AFAIK it is on by default. It can be switched off through the menu Tools/Options/Editor, then either "All Languages" or the specific language you use, then the checkbox "Statement completion: autolist members" should be checked.
Of course it only works when the start of the statement or expression is correct. If e.g. you enter "using system." (note lower-case) nothing is going to happen at all. I guess it also needs to recognize your language from the file extension; if you add a file with a silly extension, no syyntax coloring nor any Intellisense will be offered.
Furthermore, if you are using a less popular DLL, you need to "Add a Reference" first, i.e. tell your project (see the Solution pane) you're interested in a specific DLL file. Only then will Intellisense include it in its bag of tricks.

firstly, thanks for your reply.
I follow your direction and I see some of them. however, when I wanna use system.data i just see system. I mean the Data doesn't come in list.
what could be the problem? do I have too add specific Dll?which DLL?
|
|
|
|
|
The namespace System.Data can be found in the System.Data.DLL file, so yes you need to add its reference.
For each type of project a number of references get added to the project automatically, and a number of using statements get inserted in any file you create.
For each .NET class in the FrameWork, the MSDN documentation would mention the namespace and the assembly.

|
|
|

Actually, I add this DLL to my reference. but still I have the same problem.
I can't see any thing regarding System.data;System.data.SqlClient;
I have googled it but couldn't see anything?do u have any idea?
I appreciate if you help me in this matter.

if things got messed up, as an experiment, create a new (console) project, add a System.Data.DLL reference, open the one source file you've got (probably Program.cs) and type using System. taking care of casing. It must list quite a lot (as System.DLL itself is always present), including some from System.Data
ALternatively, download the project from a CodeProject article and see what gives.
if that fails, either you have inadvertently changed some other setting that happens to be relevant, or your VS got damaged and you might need to reinstall.
If it all continues to fail, report back with OS name, VS version and edition, show the source code snippet.

the first approch work for me. I create new console project. there are many DLL like system.Data and etc in the list.
but when I open my project I faced with the same problem,again.
what could be the problem?any suggestion?

Just out of curiosity..
Are you using lower case "system" ? .
Start with camel case "System.Data".. not "system.Data" ....
|
|
|
|
|
no, I am using System.?????
after . I can't see Data or Common or Sql... .

In Visual Studio 2008, select Tools > Options > Text Editor > All Languages. Ensure that the checkboxes in the Statement Completion section are actively checked (not grayed out).
