Are you running the application from within the IDE or running it from IE and attaching to debug?

I am running with the Play button given at the top Standard toolbar. So I am running it from IE and attaching it to debug.
I repeat i am using IE7

Hi there,
i could imagine two possible reasons:
- You have set debug=false in your web.config and ignore the warning-message on hitting the "playbutton"
Example:
<system.web>
<compilation debug="false">
...
</compilation>
...
Solution: set debug to true.
- Second reason: you have AutoEventWireup in your .aspx markup set to false - and therefore, your
page load is not wired anywhere. either set AutoEventWireup to "true" or wire the event up yourself.
Thats all i could imagine right now.
Good luck

none of those.
The problem is solved. That was some weired page problem. So I copied all the code and design to a new page and tried to execute, it works. I guess its just stupid creatiion of microsoft.

I'm guessing there was another reason than stupid microsoft, but i'm glad you solved it=)

API just means Application Programming Interface, i e you must be having some some dll or webservices. Create an object of the required class and access the method of those class using the object or if there is static method then you can access it using the class name itself.
Are you talking about something else?

Yes i am looking something like i have to retrieve the data from a server and update into my local database. To retrieve the data i need to use "API cals". Can you reply how can i proceed this? or Please give an example for API calls.

I have a multiple web sits asp.net application.
In this application different domains using the same pages.
All pages inherit from base class named: PageBase
wich inherit from System.Web.UI.Page.
By using: HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["HTTP_HOST"]
i cen determine what is the domain and then get all the info i need
for this domain and everything is working good.
My problem begin when i want to use different visitor counter for each site based on session.
Because Global.asax have Global events:
Session_Start
Session_End
simple counter will count all visitors on all sites together.
I try to make code behind for the Global.asax in different class
but i cold not get in that class the PageBase(System.Web.UI.Page) web site info.
I will be very thankful for any ideas to solve this problem

Hi,
I have implemented ICallbackEventHandler interface on a page and calling it in different context with different controls. Its working okay on keydown of a text box, click of an html button control and mouseover of a button control. But i need to use it with imagebutton or button control at click event. On click event the RaiseCallbackEvent function is called, then the GetCallbackResult(), but after that the GetCallbackResult() does not call the java script function that updates the page with the results retreived from GetCallbackResult().
This is only happning with click event of the ASP.net button or image button control and here also every thing is being invoking except the last javascript funciton that updates the page.
Apparently there seem no problem in my code. it seems some thing special is required to be done for click event of the asp.net because same is done with the html button control.
Second issue is that once the after the icallback, no server side event is fired e.g row_command of a gridview control. simply gv is cleared. Please help me. Most of the work is done, only minor issue is frustating me.
Thanks,
Safvi

its maybe just a typo on here but, you have 'lable' instead of 'label' in the control name

Are you asking a question? Have you debugged? What is happening? If you want help you need to do more than just make a statement and give a line of code.

In my project we need to create test case and test data automatically on "click" of a button
Say for 2 o3 fields in a form.
On a click of download button the test case and test data must be downloaded to Excel.

Hi,
When i'm trying to edit or cancel some line in gridview i'm getting this error:
"The GridView 'GridViewSearch' fired event RowDeleting which wasn't handled"
How can i solve if it??
Can please help me?
|

Try writing the row deleting event in your code behind file
protected void OnRowDeleting(GridViewDeleteEventArgs e)
{
...
}
if you don't need this event make sure that it is not called in your aspx file..

Write whatever you need for your application.

I created a simple aspx page on Visual Studio 2008 Web Developer using VB.
It had three textboxes and a command button and used to do some calculations upon the given data on pressing the command button.
It worked fine when debugged and run.
Then i created a html page and made a simple hyper link to the aspx page. The link is opening the page but not displaying its contents but displaying the code instead.
Any Solutions???

You may not have configured your website folder as a virtual directory.
Hope that helps...

Understand that all the server pages like .asp , .aspx , .php etc can only be served by your server. In this case, your IIS server. In case you want to acces your page on localhost from outside Visual Studio, go to "C:/inetpub/wwwroot/" and then address of your page will be as : http://localhost:port/foldername/file.aspx..It can be then accessed by your HTML pages in same folder. If you want to avoid all this trouble, simply put that HTML page in same project of VS. Then everything will be fine...
