Yes,
just create new "class library" project
Ex. "ClassLibrary1"
implement your classes and build it.
Now go to your web site and add reference of that class by
Add References,browse tab page-browse where you create your class.
Add dll of your class project which created in bin->debug folder
Now you can use class
Ex. ClassLibrary1.classname

I have an Word Document I need to print it directly on hard paper without opening at the client end.
Is there any solution to directly print the word document without using ActivexObject and any third party tool?
If MS-Word is installed on your Web Server, then you could instaniate Word on the server and print it to a print queue without opening it at the client.

Could you please tell me the way with code if possible?

Hi,
I am creating a web site which is utilizing the .Net Membership provider with SQL server to store each users logon information. I have customized the create user wizard to obtain extra information i need from the user.
My issue is that i am not sure what is the best method of using the automatically generated UserId as a foreign key in my other tables which belong to the relational database system i have designed.
I also need to store the extra information obtained from the customized fields in the create user wizard in my relational database system.
Any advice or pointers will be much appreciated!
Regards,
Johnny

I have a similar scenario
Just create another table either in the same db or in another db
Once the user is created with the createuserwizard and all the other fields are filled, insert a new row in your table

i have small question abt page load\
when i m going to click button first its going to page load .. and only debug into button click event .. so now i want after finish debug is there any posible to again into pageload.
try and try untill reach success..
Can you clarify your problem in detail?
thnks brother
when i click to button .. then its going to debug right .. so i m not using ispostback
so first start debug in pageload and its debuging into button event right .. after the debuging going to finished page..
my doubt is there any posible to debuging from button event then again its debug into pageload
try and try untill reach success..
When you click the button, page load will be called first and then the button_click event will be called, after this the debugging will end.
What you are trying to do?
When you click the button, page load will be called first and then the button_click event will be called, after this the debugging will end.
yes .but i need from button_event to next called to pageload ..how can i do this one..
i dont want to use refresh.
try and try untill reach success..
May I know what kindaa success you want to achieve?
Explain the scenario.
i took one gridview panel ..and thats all coding wrote in ascx page ..
so now i m sending some data in button event .. then its goes to db..
so again i want to bind the gridview which is there inascx page.
try and try untill reach success..
Why dont you call the grid databind code in button event after data is saved?
i m binding gridview in ascx page.. not in button page..
try and try untill reach success..
ascx means you have user control in page,
why dont you recreate that control in button event?
Expose a method on the user control to allow binding rather than binding when the control loads.
means how can i expose it..
try and try untill reach success..
Make the method in user control which binds the grid as public and then you can access it from page like
UserControlName.Method();

I have a dropdown that binds to all the Roles defined on my website:
DropDownList1.DataSource = Roles.GetAllRoles();
DropDownList1.DataBind();
The application works fine when I'm debugging from Visual Studio, but when in IIS the dropdownlist goes blank...
I also have a checkboxlist that I bound to strings stored in an xml file in my application folder. This doesn't load as well, but it does when I'm debugging, or viewing in browser from Visual Studio.
How do I resolve this issue?
Here are some information that might be useful:
1. I am using a customized role provider which stores roles in an sql database (created from aspnet_regsql tool) on my local machine.
<roleManager enabled="true" defaultProvider="CustomRoleProvider">
<providers>
<add name="CustomRoleProvider" connectionStringName="ASPNETDBConnectionString" applicationName="/" type="System.Web.Security.SqlRoleProvider" />
</providers>
<connectionStrings>
<add name="ASPNETDBConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=.;Initial Catalog=aspnetdb;Integrated Security=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
</connectionStrings>
2. Development Tools: Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2000
3. OS: Windows XP
Thanks!

Hi,
I am working with asp.net multilingual project. I am using the following code to change the culture. a button to call the even
//change the language as user selected
protected void RequestLanguageChange_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (Session["isError"] == null)
{
LinkButton senderLink = sender as LinkButton;
//store requested language as new culture in the session
Session["LanguagePreference"] = senderLink.CommandArgument;
//reload last requested page with new culture
Server.Transfer(Request.Path);
}
}
then in my base page class I am initializing the culture as requested by first.
protected override void InitializeCulture()
{
//retrieve culture information from session
//string culture = Convert.ToString(Session[Global.SESSION_KEY_CULTURE]);
string culture = Convert.ToString(Session["LanguagePreference"]);
//check whether a culture is stored in the session
if (culture.Length > 0) Culture = culture;
//set culture to current thread
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = CultureInfo.CreateSpecificCulture(culture);
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = new CultureInfo(culture);
Session["LanguagePreference"] = culture;
//call base class
base.InitializeCulture();
}
Now I am trying to use urlrewrite here for which I have added reference and defined the regex too.
The problem is when I change the language when on a urlrewritten page, when doing Server.Transfer(Request.Path); it takes the url of the path but I need the original url for changing the language.
Any suggestions how I can get the original path(url) for that.
Thanks
Vijay V.

I am writting a server side web page that receives a HTTP POST from our environmental system, InfraStruXure from APC. I can loop through the Server Variables and save that information...
For Each x In Request.ServerVariables
Functions.WriteToLog(x & " = " & Request.ServerVariables(x))
Next
I can see that a file, called xmlalert, is being sent with...
Dim MyNameArray() As String = Request.Files.AllKeys
For Each MyName As String In MyNameArray
Functions.WriteToLog(MyName & Environment.NewLine)
Next
But how do I access the contents of this file? I remember in the past that I needed to check the HTTP_CONTENT_LENGTH and watch for the "boundary", and put that stream into a byte array. But I can not remember how to do that.
Can someone assist?
Or is there an easier way?
Thanks,
JON
