smtp mail sending is failed nibinki33331-Jul-08 21:07 nibinki333 31-Jul-08 21:07  hai frnds i have a issue regarding my webproject .i coded a smtp mail server along with options to attach images . the uploaded images are stored in a folder in web directory. while running in vb 2008 it works but while running in iis while attaching the images a message reporting that you have no access right to upload into the folder.i try to change the access right of that folder but its not working i m using iis 5.1 and vb 2008 and IE 5 pls help me Re: smtp mail sending is failed AhsanS31-Jul-08 21:45 AhsanS 31-Jul-08 21:45  Try giving rights of asp.net to iis. If that doesn't works allow anonymous users. These links are for ASP.Net and IIS 7.0. I am using VB ASP and IIS 5.0. Actually during testing(against hacks), one can actually get the internal IP address and the host name. I want to supress that. I tried adding custom header but its just adding another one and not replacing the actual IP or host name. Yes one application can have multiple web.config files but they should be placed in different directories. 2. Combining them is not a difficult task. This I have achieved using buttons but performance wise the app is crashing after loading 1600 records. I need to add 10000 records and be able to EDIT/DELETE them. It is in itself a performance bottle neck. I would recommend you to optimize the store procedure which you are using to load the records. It should return only those records which are important for the user. Implement paging, and when user clicks on the next page only then load the next records.
