Well, everyone knows all parties will be corrupt to some level. Some folks genuinely believe the BJP government is less corrupt than the Congress or other parties. And also that Modi is a more capable leader. All that may be true. But taking away people's freedoms one by one is a dangerous trend. I think Modi's good but he is in the wrong party. Perhaps had he been an independent or if he switched to the Congress, then that may have been a better party to be PM under.
They only won 1 seat in Kerala the last election. And now there is a growing dissatisfaction in Kerala against the BJP and their style of religion-oriented governance. So I will be very surprised if they win a single seat the next elections.
I hope and trust Tamil Nadu, Kerala will hold the bastion of preventing BJP from making inroads.
TN political future is itself uncertain. Any party which is power in state has to toe in line with BJP else its existence it self will be off.
And kerala is very small state and can't make any big difference at the centre level.
So practically its difficult for your hope to be true in near time. But who knows ...
I really could not understand how after coming to power overwhelmingly, a government can do these kinds of retro things.
I studied in a RSS school. The way they teach nationalism, social service etc are good.
But when it comes to Hinduism and related things they are highly obsessed to the point of nullifying all their good deeds.
It was a no match today. India was completely outplayed. I think they took too much pressure of the high score around some high quality bowling performance by Pakistan. Pitch was good enough for a good fight.
You mean winning the toss and chasing? If Pak is chasing anything above 280 then that would be too much for current their batting strength. Their best would be restrict India around 250 which they can do with their strong bowling.
