Pirate Guy, I saw you have not posted any single technical question neither you have replied to anything technical say in question/answer section. All messages are in non-technical either posted in General Indian Topics or Soapbox or in Lounge. I have a question out of curiosity. How did you landed up in Codeproject ?
Another one observation, I see there are many post related to Modi and related event/circumstance and this is strange that you have started up those thread as well!!!
How are you managing to do that in Codeproject ? This is quite surprising. I agree that neither codeproject manadates to be technical nor a sin being full non-technical, but could not resist myself asking this to you.
I am sorry in advance in any case I hurt you, that is not I intended.
And I bet you are thinking of me as a BJP supporter or a Modi bhakt, aren't you? That's not true. I am also a Software Developer (mainly WPF and ASP.NET MVC) just like everyone else here. So yes, I am very much a technical person - a programmer by profession.

That's a long story, really. Agent__007 suggested me to join CP. We have been very close friends for years and even work at the same company. He has been here for quite a long time now. So I signed up and even used one of his "spare" email IDs to sign up (he created that email ID for one of our pet projects). You can confirm that this is his email ID from "007" in my handle here - the handle is actually the email.
At first, I mainly used to login for CCCs and BJOTDs and Insider News but would never post any message (or solutions to CCCs even if I could solve them). But that changed over the time.
Just to be clear, I am not a supporter of Modi (or BJP or any other political party, for that matter), but I really appreciate what he is doing. And in case you are wondering - I dropped the previous thread simply because I realised the conversation was going nowhere.
Yes I am not thinking, your post/reply "convinceced" me that. Why are you trying to prove that you are not, and being a Bhakt or Modi supporter is not a crime. He is a PM of our country and I do support him. Anyone should stand up to his thinking.

Oh, just come on, let not debate on that further, everyone can see your post and replies.
I repeat again, IMO there is nothing wrong to be a supporter of any party and person. Have courage to stand by what is your path/belief.

It doesn't matter. Many like me never posted anything actively on Technical post
Too much of good is bad,mix some evil in it
I am in a school (say 12th class). When I was studying from 5th standard till 11th, I saw "some" guys making lewd comments on girls. Me and my friends did not raise any voices and kept silent. But few teachers reprimanded "those" boys . Now I see the same and raise my voice and commented that school's atmosphere is not good for gals since some teachers were silent because they are relatives/friends of other teachers. The Principal is also not commenting on it publicly in school.
This gave "those" guys more confidence to make more trouble
So now is it a crime to raise my voice now because I was silent in the past? Does, me being silent in the past means I cannot raise it now. Is it really a nice excuse to say that "it happened in the past", why are you raising your concern now. Teachers ask me to leave the school because I have tarnished its image. I just spoke the truth . Its better to be late than never?
Now please read the same scenario with the following replacement
School -> India
"some" -> Right wing/ RSS members
Teacher -> Minsters/bhakts
relative -> belong to same party/ affiliation
Principal -> PM
Me -> Any person who says -ve about India
Too much of good is bad,mix some evil in it
I believe you have portrayed it in best way. True, if in the past something didnt happen does not imply that same thing would never happen. Just feeling sad when someone in the other thread tried to "opine" that "there was same society from 1947 ... blah blah blah ..", why to take everything reference from some old age ? I mean this is so silly !!
We wanted to see better India, I am still hopeful but I must agree that disappointment are creeping in. Forget about expectation, I personally feel "Ab rahne de, Arindam tum kuch jyada hi bhabuk ho gaye they aache din ke liye"(Just leave it Arindam, you seem to be more thoughtful emotional regarding Good days).
N.B: While I am posting this one of my friend, who sats beside me, saw this and offered me a Good Day (biscuits), so please be assured I am very happy now.
Our previous generation (meaning our parents generation) are very matured enough in dealing with loose talk people like these. They SIMPLY NEGLECTED them. Once these crooks do not receive any support or publicity they themselves mended, if not perished.
Now with 24x7 media and social platform every one are more hungry to gain prime time coverage. And they want to sensationalize trivial nonsense. To keep them relevant in public domain they are using these cheap tricks.
Unless people elect right people to power this situation continues. The only difference is we will be bashing one party (which is in power) every 5 years.
But this is catch-22. I voted to Party A because I am sick of Party B. Now when Party A is giving me the same sickness what I can do? I guess, I should have short term memory loss (like People of few states) and give chance to both parties (or to all existing Gathbandhans') to make us equally sick
However, would it be nice to escalate the matter to the Principal while the class-monitor is still investigating the issue? Shouldn't it something like class-monitor -> class teacher -> the Principal?
Also, if there were similar matters happened in the past in other classes where girls were beating up the boys and no one cared. It wasn't addressed firmly neither at the class-monitor level nor at the class-teacher or the Principal level and yet the school management and people were okay with that. Why are they expecting something different in this particular case?
Granted, you stated the facts. But what if there were some children from your residing area* who were looking forward to join the school in the next year? What would be the effect? Won't your statements affect their decision especially when your statement is well-considered among them given that you have always topped your class*? Wouldn't it have been nice if you said something positive about your school and motivated them to join it especially when your school seriously needs them (their donation)?
Class-monitor -> local authorities (police, etc)
Class-teacher -> Chief Minister of the state
Students looking forward to join your school -> potential investors abroad looking forward investing in India.
You being topper of the class -> Aamir Khan
Class teacher, class monitors are most ignorant/sleeping. Principal is away most of the time (He might be doing something good, but still he stays away of the school most of time except Elective Council meeting )
I neither support a fight now, neither I am happy that it happened in the past. I am protesting now, I would do in future as well, whoever is fighting, irrespecting of who is at the receiving end. I am not only expect something different now, I want that "something different" to be in future as well.
If a new aspiring student "relies" more on a statement of a "mere" student instead of looking past history of the school, policy then you must know that student is not meant for that school, not even for any school whatsoever. Do you ever take a comment of single entity/person/student as "critical" decision making point ? Come on ! I am sure you are not. That mere student is not in management of the school/policy making right
And understand, one need to put very hard work to be topper amongst peers, not everybody can be topper. Why someone would be "rediculed"/singled out only because he is topper ? That ability should go to his favour or could be ignored.
this is not Twitter, but really? No one here cares what Aamir Khan had to say? Or have you "tolerated" his stupid statement already?
I am not going to troll him here, but for shame!
Now if any of you like to defend his side, I would be more than happy to "enlighten" you.
Ok, that's a lot of text for me to read at the moment. I will post my views on each of your comments. Meanwhile have a look at this[^] comment for what I have to say.
I will be replying to the messages on Friday. Meanwhile, parliament's winter session is starting from tomorrow, so those who think this instance has got nothing to do with politics, keep an eye on the session. I am sure you will be "astonished".
Everything is conspiracy, I tell you, either for promoting his upcoming movie or of some political motivation - I vote for the former as well as the latter.
He is an ambassador of the Incredible India campaign and this statement just highlights his real views. I really expect the Government to strip him down of the ambassador the campaign. Also, I won't be surprised if his upcoming movie gets banned in majority of states (which is likely to happen now) and he comes back again and comments something idiotic.
But for now, I would be the happiest Indian to sponsor a one-way ticket for him and his family to Pakistan or Syria or any other country he chooses to go to.
So this moron says anything against your country and all you do is to tolerate him just for being "tolerant" in his view?
All I am saying is, if anyone's not happy with the Modi government, say it upfront and criticise Modi. Why are you painting a fake image of the country in front of the world? Consider this - Modi has been trying hard to attract foreign companies and residents to invest in India. But if these kinds of news keep coming out, what would be its impact on his efforts?
And even after this if you say I am "intolerant", I really feel sorry for you.
I ain't got no signature.
