You are absolutely right, News channels have become like crap in these days, specially daily Prime Time shows, I feel it obscenity too, because if some one makes his/her face like crap and shouts, screams and yell at others that makes me uncomfortable, according to me that's obscenity too
Village elders in Andhra are fining the women who wear nighties in day time from 7 am to 7 pm, who are they to fine I just don't understand and what are they going to do with the amount that is collected through these types of fines?
lol Laugh | how they are going to keep watch on everyone who is wearing nightie Laugh |
Yes it is definitely laughing stock, I am not sure why people look into others personal life, that actually annoys me more than anything. As I said I don't have any problem if someone wears Burqa with her Choice and I don't have problem if someone wears nightie or even nothing with her Choice, I don't have any problem. Let people live with their Choices never get into someones personal life is my Policy.
And if someone feels its obscenity then don't look at her, that's his Choice right?
They may want to fund it for their elections too, because all they do is, keeping the currency and releasing those funds in their favor is a game to get upper hand over the other parties, I feel it happened in the Currency Demonetization also. I feel it because, economy would not see the impact as long as the currency is circulating, even if it is circulating through some favorite people of the Government or any other persons.
But it will serve the purpose of the Government if it wants to use, just like we saw crores of rupees are caught from few people before currency was even released or soon after it is release and Reddy brothers lavish marriages in Karnataka etc.
I feel there is no proper probe even happening, because this Government has been misusing its powers unlike any other previous governments since I got awareness about Politics - that's my biggest concern after Communal dividing of people in BJP ruling states.
I am tired of Criticizing Modi and tried of seeing some trolls coming in support him, I am just tired. Really wanna move-on. It is not the Congress the is ill-fate that's taken over India, its called Modi, it seems this Daemon isn't going to leave us for a long time.
Not if it generates that revenue multiple times in years to come via tourism and local business. Only time will tell. I see it as a pure business decision once you take out the politics and emotion out of it.

Maths is like love : a simple idea but it can get complicated.
I have two things I'd appreciate help with: one involves the correct (polite, English) form of salutation in business correspondence, today.
The other involves a story (fiction) I am writing in which an ancient Urdu manuscript is being read in English translation. A quote from the fictional author is displayed in both English and transliterated Urdu in the book's preface: I am looking specifically for an Urdu word, preferably one not from a "modern" origin, that expresses the "act of remembering" in a general sense.
thanks, شکریہ, Bill

I believe act of remembering itself can be taken into many forms—positive, negative, or just remembering.
"یاد" is a verb, which means remembering (and in many cases, it is also a noun which means a memory), especially in the terms of reminisce. To reminisce is something you are looking for, then it is, "یاد کرنے کے لئے" — literally translating to, "to remember".
Also, I found that Google translate also tends to help us in this case, "act of remembering" becomes, "یاد رکھنا", however a native Urdu speaker would interpret this Urdu sentence as "do remember" (not in interrogative form, as in, do remember me).
Now coming to the point of ancient. We know Urdu took some of its words and phrases from Arabic (along with other languages like, Persian, English, etc.), in this case in Arabic we have, "فعل التذكر", which includes the sense of verb in it, and using this, we get, "ذکر کرنا". But, no body typically uses this:
Due to the fact that it is an Arabic word, so a respect factor there. Sometimes the word, "ذکر", is also used to mean that someone is praising the Lord. So, be careful now.
We have a much easier and specific word for remembering.
This was what I could come up with, on the top of my head. I hope that does answer. Lastly, I believe a literal meaning might be difficult, if a sentence can be provided it can make more sense and easier to be translated.
