I noticed there's not much of anything on CP specific to F#. Is there a moratorium on F# aticles? Or is it just that no one has bothered to post any articles?
I've been playing with F# and have some beginners stuff I could turn into an article or 3, if there's interest.

that can show me how to simulate a server / client relationship.
Sorry for the basics, but since the article doesn't exist, I can't exactly go into detail about it now can I :P
No, seriously, I'd like to learn how to make multiple machines communicate with a single server-end application, able to handle a couple of connections or more. Relay information to the proper client, I don't know that stuff I've been wanting to learn about for quite a bit.

Not especially, a quick glance took me to CodeProject .NET Remoting which wasn't really about client -> server communication, more of about object communication.
I see how this touches on what I asked previously, but I personally would like to see something more dedicated to multiple clients communicating with a single server, and how a server manages those connections, relays information, etc etc.

Actually, I want to make a forum for an NGO where visitors and registered users can share their views and also upload pictures and share them too.
I want to use C#.Net and SQL 2000. Please Help. It's urgent.

This forum is for Article Requests and Ideas. There's a perfectly good VB.NET forum here.

Avoid all caps in discussion forums. You would be understood as being in an angry mood and shouting at others.

The first part of the request should go in to 'Suggestions and Bug Reports' forum to draw a priority attention of CP Administrators and implementation of the same.

I'd like to see an article on how to do toaster pop-ups, or an article with a DLL for toaster pop-ups. If anyone has used them in the past in their applications, please write an article on how you did it.

do you mean popups like msn tray notifications?
Best regards,

Yes, that is exactly what I would like.

I've been working on a VS plug-in that will keep track of how long I've been working and, every five hours or so, place an order with a local Szechuan delivery. Alas, I've not been able to get the bugs worked out and the best I've gotten so far is mediocre Cantonese.
A plug-in that automatically cooked and served toaster pastries might be easier to implement, though.

Yeah, people can write these kind of programs, but requesting someone write one for you isn't how this site works.
