Let me know which article, and I will be happy to oblige.
Do you just want it removed temporarily?
Thanks,

Actually, both of them I have posted right now. I guess it can be temporary for now, but not sure if I will actually get around to the subject matter again.
Thanks,

Hi Bob,
What I can do is take the two articles and change them to composing status.
Sound good?

Hi,
At the top of every article you will likely find source code, and a demo project. Just make sure you are signed in, then click on the link, and you should be able to download it no problem!
Please let me know if you have further questions
Thanks,

Hi,
this forum is about the art of writing articles, it is where authors and potential authors can exchange ideas, etc. It is not read by the site administrators.
For specific questions and problems that need admin's attention, you really should post in the "Site Suggestions and Bugs" forum, that is the one they scrutinize.

Hi,
No problem, I have done so.

I am working on an article which is a derived work and licensed under both the Code Project (CPOL) and the Microsoft Reciprocal License (Ms-RL).
The two ELUA's are not compatible, CPOL restrictions against malicious works, and Ms-Rl against comercial works.
So my work is a composit work integrating the two peices of software, do I have to write a composit EULA?

Hi,
I can't help you except by saying this forum is not read by the site administrators.

Great. That will spare me a couple of redirections a day.
Could you still add a sticky here (and there). Pretty please.

I'm not a lawyer, but if you use code that is licensed then it must abide by the license. If you use two peices of code with 2 licenses in one project then you must abide by both licenses.
restriction against malicious work and restriction against commercial work isn't incompatible. It would simply mean that the final product can't be used for malicous uses or commercial work.

It probably means that the article has been pushed off the bottom of the list. There are only 5 articles visible at any one time and the crap ones tend to hog the top.
"WPF has many lovers. It's a veritable porn star!" - Josh Smith As Braveheart once said, "You can take our freedom but you'll never take our Hobnobs!" - Martin Hughes.

Pete, I didn't understand your answer, that means my article is not good? There is anything I need to do in order to fix it? Thanks again!!!

No. It means that there are some bad ones at the top. These bad ones need voting off (it's a LIFO system), and that takes multiple votes. This, unfortunately, means that your article has been pushed off the top screen. I've approved it now - so you should be good to go.

Since this forum is on article writing, all I can say is you have the time now to write another one.

Hmm,
Who can vote it out? I wrote an article which I think needs to be reformated, it's a twisted mess, but I didn't know how to convey the message. It is doing better then the first in the series (which has been edited by The Code Project). How do I get a mentor? I have enjoyed reading your posts Luc Pattyn.
I don't get the voting system. I wrote a really basic beginner article, posted to the begginer section and I get 1 votes because it lacks code. Next article I load with code and get no votes. Is a 'no vote' aka 'Kiss of Death'?
Why don't they index bookmarks in the natural log part of the popularity equation?
Next article will be more practical use, but it's a full application. I have been looking at other articles here at The Code Project; many of which get high marks on complex projects, but no code concept explination.
What is the magic mix?
Good Article = (Complex src project) + (Simple Article)

Hi,
this is how I see things, others may have a different view:
- a good article is clear and easy to understand, describing something real, with both text and some code (definitely more text than code), and a full source download.
- beginners stuff is tricky, if not sufficiently marked as such, it may get low votes and "nothing new, nothing interesting" notes.
- non-gold members get their articles only shown in a "article needing approval" list on the CP home page, where only gold and upward members can see them and vote and possibly approve for general publication. However the list is a 5-entry LIFO, so newer crap may hide your as yet unapproved gem.
- getting approved but not collecting many votes is a pitty; the approval stage is there so those wise gold members can give you pointers as to how improve your article; following their advice your article should be good and collect decent votes.
- AFAIK bookmarks don't count for anything, however IMO it does not make sense to bookmark something without voting for it.
- articles can be interesting with an emphasis on coding or on application; the former needs to be correct and relevant, the latter gets its merits from realism and getting things done. Both can be equally valuable.
