hi,
im doing GUI that user can edit textboxes.in this my requirement is
(1)name with check box
(2)if user click check box pop window or alert box will appear.in that window i have to display min-value,max-vale,actual value,default value.and two buttons one is update another one is default
3)in this actual value can edit by user if he edits it has to be validate from min& max.
please help me to this GUI.
note:The values will read and wright from xml file i can read and wright those values by dom processor.

Hello everyone,
Is it possible to serialize null as just null in java?
For example, if I have a row such as below,
Col1 Col2 Col3
---- ---- ----
A null B
Is it possible to seriazle the row above to the json below?
{"Col1":"A", "Col2":null, "Col3":"B"}

In fact, I'm doing this in Java, it's a Maven project and hosted as a web service on GlassFish. The service returns the data in json format. The problem is when the values are null, I have to serialize them as "" or "null". I want to return as just null. However, I still can't find a way.

Just noting that I do JSON all the time and I definitely do not program in javascript. I use it in Java and C#.

Thanks for the information. About the only thing I know about it is what JSON actually stands for, which, according to http://json.org/[^], is JavaScript Object Notation.

You really need to have a good understanding of the use of classes and their methods and properties for such a project. However, the first thing you need to do is work on the actual design of your project. The data store, what information you need to keep, and how you will access it. The inputs, how customers will request reservations. The outputs, how information will be displayed etc. All of that needs to be designed before you can start writing any code.

Well, I'm afraid we cannot guess what that error could be. I suggest you step through the code with your debugger and look at the error that is produced, and the values of all variables that are being used in that statement.

1st error is ip1 variable i declared as double
2nd i used Integer.parseInt i think it wont match
so please don't mistake me
i need two solutions
1.on which data type my variable have to declare
2.how to convert string to declared variable dataype

Assuming that ip1 is part of an IP address, I cannot see any reason why you would declare it as a double. You could make things simpler by using the InetAddress class[^] to do the conversions.
