Use Reportvier to Show Table with Unknown Number of Columns Member 76634803-Nov-12 15:03 Member 7663480 3-Nov-12 15:03  Hi, I am trying to generate a report from a data table with an unknown number of columns at design time. The application allows the user to choose what column to show, and I don't know how to bind a table with an unknown schema. If the schema isn't known at design-time, the designer can't do anything with it. You're only going ot be able to do that at run-time. The bigger question should be why that table has an unknown number of columns. Is this really necessary or can the data be represented differently to eliminate this condition. Do these column have to appear in the report? Is there is a subset of columns that is known? Can these be broken out into a seperate table? Tons of questions only you can answer...
