What do you mean? Do you want to copy the window client area to a bitmap?

it writes an image file rather than returns an HBITMAP.

What a lazy guy you are: if you stop copying from the sample code just before the following lines
GetObject(hbmScreen,sizeof(BITMAP),&bmpScreen);
Then you have your requested HBTIMAP and no more.
BTW: The image file was for free

At first you should learn what this handles and the beloved BITMAPINFO are representing and than you can use CreateCompatibleBitmap() and GetDiBits()

What does this have to do with C/C++/MFC. Please go to the GLUI website and ask for help.

The short answer is no, you can't (you have to implement your own mechanism for this task).

Do you know this is the Visual C++/MFC forum? Moreover, do you know there is a Java forum [^] at CP ?

'urgentz' requests go straight into the recycle bin.

You are posting in the C++ forum but you are mentioning Java in your post. So, which language are you talking about ? If it is Java, please post in the Java forum.

In Java? If yes, you want to retrieve the class or the class name of the object? You can do something like this (Java):
String className = myObject.getClass().getSimpleName();

Could you give an example of what you are trying to do ? I didn't understand your question.
BTW, specifying that your question is "urgent" is considered rude. Why is your question more urgent than other questions ? Are you paying people to reply you ?

No, I don't provide help here for money, nobody does it here. What I was saying is that requesting urgent help is considered extremly rude because why would your question be more urgent than others ? What I was saying is that since this is a website for which people help for free, you can't ask people to answer your question immediatlely.
I also already replied your question, even if it was badly formated and posted in the wrong forum.
Furthermore, avoid using txtspk, it is also considered rude.

That is a problem, but it can be done via owner drawn menus. But it is a bunch of work.
Consider doing other thing first.
