Hi,

I have a string from socket. Now I want copy some bits from this string . Like bits from offset 3rd to 27th.

Please tell that how can I do this?

Copy these bits to long variable or in some other string.For different cases, I need to copy the bits in to different type of variables.

If you have a CString then you can use the GetAt() function. Here's a link to an msdn page with information about basic string operations:-

Hi Alison,

I want to copy bits from string not byte. It can be starting from 4th bit of first byte to 5th bit of 6th byte.
GetAt is for bytes.

Once you have a byte you can extract the bits using a struct & union, this answer from CPallini gives you a great example ...

Restrict Window move

Hi,

Can we restrict the window move to certain extent in screen.

We can move the window left or right by clicking on the Caption Bar and when we move to left side,its get moved and and also it moves out of screen alos. Can we restrict that.Like it should be move when X=50,y=50.With this limit it should move anywhere.But after that it shold not move.

Pls help me.

You restrict your window's size by handling the WM_GETMINMAXINFO message.
