The propose is to prevent shop attendant not to use any thing except only my program which is developed for product ordering.

If that's the case, try to find information on how an information kiosk works (tourist info, trains, buses, those types). Most run Windows XP, but there is only one usable application.

They generally don't have QWERTY keyboards attached to them. You can probably intercept most key combinations using the UserActivityHook class here:
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/globalhook.aspx[^]
The user will always be able to Ctrl -> Alt -> Delete and Ctrl -> Shift -> Esc it though. Why not just remove those buttons from their keyboard? Save a lot of hassle

dealon,
Yes, i understand what you're trying to do. But, what happens in code when you load the form?, is it connecting to a database?, doing some graphics?, Do you create any large collections? what...
You shouldn't get this error for just loading up a simple form, unless you have a billion forms open.

Gareth.

Gareth, I think i need to get a new project to reproduce such problem because my original project has as many as 40 windows. Some work ok while others not.I don't known which code cause such errors and I will find out the codes exactly.
Later, I will show you more information for the errors.
Gareth,Thank you very much.

Hi Everybody!!!
I m a intermediate in C#. I m designing an application for scanning images from any scanner using 'twain_32.dll' of the twain working group.
i found a code here on the code project which did most of the work on scanning the image and bringing it back to the application's picturebox.
But theres a problem in this code and that is this code does scan the images but during scanning it opens the interface of the attached scanner (ex. i have hp psc 1315 scanner) and the image is scanned via that interface and then the control hope to my application and the picture is copied to my application.
I want to create my own interface of scanning , i dont want my scanner's interface to open during scanning.
Hope u got my point.
Please suggest me how i can accomplish this.

i want to create an application that runs over Internet. TCPListener works fine in the LAN. what must i do extra to reach computer over Internet?

You must tell your router, that the port (for example: 1234) must be forwarded to your client.
i'm using adsl modem, it supports port forwarding, but i want to type codes for port forwarding. how can i do?
See the manual of your router. Some router/adsl modem can be configured using web browser. Some router must be configured using telnet.

generally, in other systems, what do programs do to over this problem? for example, in msn messenger, we want to send a file, program opens port and send file.
As far as I know, MSN Messenger is using Universal Plug and Play (UPNP). Search for more infos in google.

thanx your advice, i'm searching

the client isnt the problem, that should work fine...
the requests that that client makes to the server proccess must be forwarded on the servers router. another problem is that unless your ISP provides you with a static IP address, the IP of the server(which the client will need to connect to it) will change everytime the router connects to the internet...
hope it helps

yes, i'll use static ip, if i get over from routers and gateways...
well in most cases the router is your gateway... all you need to do is tell it...
"Hey, if you get a request from the internet on port 1234, forward the request to 10.0.0.123 on my private network because the service is located there"

yeah i know, i'm wondering what must i write code to say gateway for forwarding packets
nope
if your application works over a network you dont need to add any code to make it work over the internet. because the internet is a network not very different from a local area network.
you just need to set up the routers port forwarding on the servers connection

when i sell my program, i couldn't set up port forwarding. program must do this instead of me.
