If they did then I would expect they would have responded to you. However, I cannot see what your question has to do with the .NET Framework; maybe you need to reword it.

hi
i want to use PasswordDeriveBytes class in compact frame 3.5 but this class is unknown !
its platform is windows Ce 5
i want to use CryptDeriveKey method to drive key for 3DES algorithm
can you help me?

You can't use it. It's not implemented in the .NET Compact Framework 3.5, or any other version of the .NET CF for that matter.
I don't have an alternate method for you to use.

I posted this question in "Quick Answers", no replies so far, I hope I am having more luck on here...
I've re-developed a ActiveX control in C# (basically a drop-in replacement for a age-old VB6 control). Most things work, however, I need to implement property data binding for it.
In VB6, that was an easy thing to do, thanks to the dialog here: Binding a Control to a Data Source. Simply checking the first 3 options in "Data Binding" would do the trick, and COM-aware applications could bind data to the control.
A similar problem has surfaced already, it seems, with quite a complicated workaround:
You might have to reverse engineer some of the generated code to do this. Offhand, I would create the TLB file, and then use OLEVIEW to view
the IDL.
Then, I would copy and paste the IDL into a new file, and add the
bindable attribute to the idl in the appropriate places. Once that is done,
I would run that IDL file through MIDL, and create a type library. Once you
do that, you should be able to register that type library to create your
CCW's.
It seems there is no facility in .NET to add the [bindable] attribute to a COM class.
Please, any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi This is Chandrakanth,
My question is i was trying to deploy the application in to the server from Visual Studio 2010 using Web Setup, but unable to deploy the application.
I am using 3 tier architecture in my application. The web set up is copying only one bin folder in to the destination folder in the server. All files and folders are not able to copy.
Is there any thing i need to configure. Please suggest me whar are all the things i need to follow.
Thanks
Chandra

I think you need to explain more clearly what your problem is.

What kind of report you are asking for.. Crystal Report or any other Report Tool.

Where-ever from you are getting data to display in your 'report', just limit the data as per your need before binding/passing the data to report. You can count, find length and then terminate the data at specified length to use.

Hi
I am fairly new to the .NET stuff and to do a simple thing like navigating pages seems like a real mission, If i had more time ( which I might need to make ) i would like to learn NavigateService to implement the paging between pages but i have come to another solution which I am not to sure is the best way but i might give it ago.
So the problem i am having is firstly i am a n00b and cant seem to get the navigation right. I can get it working with the <hyperlink> tag but that has to be used on a textblock which does not seem to allow me to then add a transition effect on the mouse click element. So what i am thinking of doing is creating all of the elements for the 6 pages on one .xaml window of 1024 by 768 . Then when a button is clicked a storyboard starts and moves the page to its next area. then based on the clicks on that page another storyboard occurs and moves the part i need the user to see into the frame window.
I am just not to sure if this is best practice and if later on i will have problems with this implementation. As it is I will have to make the window a fixed size without the ability to resize ( otherwise the storyboard transitions do not work properly ) but that is actually not a huge problem with this app
any help or suggestions would be cool.

Hello,
at the moment i'm working on a Project that keeps a Textbox in sync with all connected Clients.
The problem is when using a Richtextbox after a while it creates a loop in textinput.
I can't find the cause of it.
With a normal textbox everything is fine.

But if I use a RichTextBox the the above-mentioned problem appears.

Hi
Your problem is not clear. if you can provide little more information about the problem.
Like:
What do you mean by loop in RTF?

Yes it is, not clear enough.
OP, could you tell me what you mean by text input?

Hi
first thanks for your help.
The explanation of the loop:
Typing something in the Textbox triggers an event that is sending the written Stuff to the Server.
The Server is than sending it back to all connected Clients.
But sometimes if you type to fast it will then cause all connected Clients to continuously update (sending-receiving-sending-receiving and so on) and the program gets unusable

What event are you handling in order to detect when the (rich) textbox is updated?
Often when hooking into the Changed event or the likes, this is raised both by user input and by changing to the text by code. That means that the user types something, Changed is called, messages are sent and then the code adjusts the Text property. But then, Changed is raised again (this time due to a change from code) and the process repeats.
I'm guessing with a normal Textbox this infinite cycles ends because the textbox eventually recognises that, even though you set its Text property to something else, the actual contents of the Text is unchanged.

Thanks for your answer.
I couldn't manage to find the mistake so i decided to use a ordinary textbox instead of an richtextbox element.
