I am facing a issue with the IIS on Windocs XP Pro SP3. I installed the IIS and checked that IIS and web services are up. Then I tried to access the http://localhost page but I am unable to see the page and getting HTTP error 404. I checked that I have file "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\iisstart.asp" with correct permissions. I have read so may help on web but none is working for me Actully my main problem is to run the CGI application using IIS. When I try to run any of CGI application on my PC I am getting the error "The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:". Same application is running on other PC with same IIS setup. Kindly share your experience regarding the same. Thanks in Advance.

First, when posting code here you need to use the pre tags to format it properly.
Have you tried Process.Start[^] rather than ShellExecute?

Hoi all,
i have a question about .NET remoting.
Is it possible to send Data to all Clients without they (Clients) are requested before ?
I need to deploy a Client that comunicate with Server over mobile internet. The Server should be able to Alarm all clients, if it required! A Solution with a Timer in the Client, that polls all the time to the Server, will be much to expensive and build a huge overhead.
I guess the HTTP - Channel doens't support this, but what's up with the UDP - Channel ?
Does anybody help me ?
Thx a lot

Mobile internet is still internet and you face the same challenges, just with a smaller device and less bandwidth.

that's true.
it should be only clarify why i can't solve my problem with a request-timer in the client app.
usually internet is quite cheaper than mobile internet.
does anyone have some subject related information ?
thx a lot
cheers

Hi all,
I have a control that I need to get the value for one of it's localized properties.
The problem is that the control may reside in an unlocalized form / control which inherits from a localized one.
For example, lets say I have a Button control. The control is placed inside a localized form of type Form1 (which inherits from Form) and the value for the button's Text property is set to "A".
A class named Form2 inherits from Form1 and is also localized, and sets the value for the button's Text property to "B".
Finally, Form3 inherits form Form2 and is NOT localized, and sets the value for the button's Text property to "C".
I need to know how to get at runtime the localized value for the control's Text property which is the highest in the inheritence hirarchy - in this case "B" and not "C".
What is the best way to do that?
Thanks...

A bit of self-promotion? Not getting enough traffic to your Facebook? It may be good information, I just don't think this is place to advertise it.

Facebook is a bad place to put something like this. I'm not creting a Facebook account just to view this content.

I rather suspect you don't have a clue what you are talking about. How do you plan to use vb.net with c#? They are two different languages.
However, post what you have tried and someone may figure out what you are trying to do.

Hi,
I want to change the javascript parameter value in c# like this.
var t = 123;
window.external.Test(t);
alert(t);
public void Test(ref int TT){
TT = 456;
}
I find another way to change it by use object like this
function MyTestClass(){
this.A = "123MyTestClass";
}
var t = new MyTestClass();
window.external.Test(t);
alert(t.A);
public void Test(object TT){
object s = TT.GetType().InvokeMember("A", BindingFlags.SetProperty, null, TT, new object[] { "mynewvalue" });
}
Then t.A is changed.
How can I change javascript value is c# code without object?

Are you working in website ???
I think in Web environment, Server and clients are different. Javascript have access to the client objects(Limited) while C# works with server objects.
The Bridge between server and client is made using Request and Response.
So if you want to set the value of a javascript function just write it to the Response... Simple.. (For example, create a hidden field and set the value, or Directly place anywhere and parse the body text using javascript).

{
webBrowser1.Url = new Uri(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory + "test.htm");
webBrowser1.ObjectForScripting = this;
}
public void TestB(ref int TT)
{
TT = 345;
}
public void Test(object TT)
{
object s = TT.GetType().InvokeMember("A", BindingFlags.SetProperty, null, TT, new object[] { "mynewvalue" });

window.external.TestB(t);
alert(t);
//无法修改

This is not possible; an exe file is compiled for a specific target platform. You need to make the source platform independent and then compile that source on each platform that you want to run it on, to create a compatible object.
