To which TYPE of database? Oracle, Sql Server, TimesTen?
See the Howto[^] in the documentation. You could generalize it like this;
Dim ConnectionString asString = ""' see www.connectionstrings.com for yours!Using con AsNew SqlConnection(ConnectionString)
Using cmd As SqlCommand = con.CreateCommand
cmd.CommandText = "SELECT 1"
There are quite some tutorials on the internet. I suggest downloading a few and playing a bit with them.
