It's difficult, especially as his other two questions have gone - either he deleted them, or they were deleted for him. But that's not a "normal" practice, and there is no legitimate reason to un-encrypt a connection string, particularly as it should contain sensitive password information.
I'd say "abuse" and "abuser" myself.

Should we proceed to the user account as well?

Slow down trigger. I see no reason to kick the guy off the website for asking that. A simple no would suffice.

In that case @sean-ewington might want to reset the reports on that member account.

Hopefully yes he would do it... Hopefully Reporters do think first before reporting. Only a General comment not directed to you, directed to all who report/accuse here.

So it is. And in case it is possible to crack than I also would be happy to know it to be prepared.....
Similar (in my mind) why no question/discussion is allowed about viruses here. The one who are not informed about the weak points can't fend off them.
Only my mind.

I didn't report here and I didn't read it because it was already nuked, so I can't know how it was. But as opinion...
I don't think it about if the question is related to a the virus or a hack, in my case it is about the how it is asked. And sadly the biggest part of such questions are not academical.

What is strange about this request? If it is possible to "crack" Login to MSSQL (or what else) it would be very good to know it. This to be prepared... and maybe find a defense strategy.

This article[^] contains link to source code but it is offsite (something GitHub link), does it allowed ? I have marked that article as 'offsite download'

They are not, and reporting it as you did is the correct action.

Annoyingly some idiots have approved this article despite my outstanding questions to the author which needed clarification including, which license agreement really applies and could the author please attach a copy of the code to the article.

I've reached out the author to help straighten it all out.

Does that include the license for it? And could you reach out to whoever approved it and deliver mighty slaps?

I'm speaking to him about the license as well. I'm not sure there are mighty slaps to give on this one, near as I can tell it was community approved. Chris and I are talking about changes to prevent this kind of thing from happening. In the meantime your reports and requests for mighty slaps are very valuable.
Thanks,

Shirley you're not telling us that you don't know who's doing the approval. Please, please tell me it isn't so!

In most cases I can see who approved something. If it was community based I should be able to see a list of people who made reports on it. If it is an editor or trusted author (in most cases, myself or Chris or Deeksha), then I can see which one of us it was, but if we remove the reports on the article during that process, I can no longer see which community members approved it / reported on it. There seems to be an edge case where (as in this scenario) it says it's approved by an editor or trusted author but I cannot see an editor tied to it. I'm wondering if there's a scenario where a trusted author is actually reporting the article with a negative report and somehow this is getting counted as an approval. We don't have a lot of trusted authors, though, as far as I know. Certainly not active ones who tend to make reports on the article queue.
Obviously this isn't the intended ideal of seeing reports and approvals on articles in the queue, but as I said, we're making changes.

It would be worth to consider to make that approval list visible for a group of people as I already suggested in a couple of times. Please take it in consideration with Chris
