To call the default handler, call DefWindowProc() when using the Windows API. When using MFC, override OnPaint() or OnEraseBkgnd() and call the base class function first (e.g. CDialog::OnEraseBkgnd()).
Note that there is an error in my previous post (I will edit it): WM_ERASEBKGND handlers must return nonzero when the background has been erased.
You may also just get the return value of the default function and return that.
I am using getopenfilename API to create a standard file open windows dialog. However this dialog is not able to show the mapped drive. If it is a long path over network. This is case for"look-in" field of dialog box. Is this a known bug?
I googled around but could not any info. Please help
A connection to the server could not be made because the limit on the number of concurrent connections for this account has been reached.
Mutual Authentication failed. The server's password is out of date at the domain controller.
I don't see any connection to CreateFile() in these; are you sure that is where the error occurrs? Perhaps you should show what it is you are trying to create or open with this call.
If authentication fails then tried retry for 3 times.
/* Logic has been implemented to find the com port created by BluetoothSetServiceState(. .. ) api. * /
GENERIC_READ | GENERIC_WRITE,
szComPortStr is having the format : " \\\\.\\%s" where %s specifies the port number.
If CreateFileA() fails then tried retry for 3 times.
The CreateFileA() api fails for several times and works sometimes with same implementation. Thus the api shows unexpected behavior, resulting into application performance issue.
microsoft translator api doesn't translate text with proper meaning it only takes word to word mean in c# \
means when i want to translate this sentence
"I WANT YOU TO WRITE THIS"
it does translate this sentence as
मैं इस पढ़ने के लिए आप चाहते हैं in hindi which is not proper .also it doesn't take phrases into consideration
pls give me a solution on this i am tearing my head on this.
How do you expect anyone outside the Microsoft Translator team to help you with this? You need to reach out to the team through their forums, discussion boards, ticket, etc.
It could be a bug with the translator or it could be the way the translation works. Each translator has its own shortcomings and no translator is perfect. I find Google Translator to be far more superior than Bing Translator (which I suppose is the same as Microsoft Translator), especially with Indian languages.
I understand that everything is "visual" these days and the level of abstraction in software development is enormous, making it unnecessary for a developer to know about existence of actual ones and zeroes that that make up the CPU instructions .
I know that this forum is dedicated to the latest tools primarily from Microsoft and this is not the right place to ask the question I have.
Yet I am desperately looking for the "dinosaurs" who may know what assembler is, who learned to program 30-40 years ago, and in the process of doing that came across the basic programming tools, such as command-line compilers and linkers.
I've been using bcc32 and ilink32 to build API applications for 15 years, primarily for scientific computing and hardware control.
Recently I came up with an unusual project, which requires some re-configuring of the compiler settings. Unfortunately, my post at Embarcadero (former Inprise -> former Borland) web site remains unanswered. That is why I am here "crying into the wind" for some help.
Please reply to this message if you think you could help.
I do not bother to describe the question itself in this post (to save the space on the server )
Alright, we have a GUI testing Tool that accesses the GUI by using the MSAA[^]. We can't get it to work with Win 7 Embedded, but with Win 7 - Now, since we actually need to test it on an Embedded machine: Does Win 7 Embedded even have the possibility to optionally add the MSAA package?
