Atlassian, a UK-based company making software development and collaboration tools, estimates it might take two more weeks to restore all customer instances impacted by a week-long ongoing outage affecting its cloud services. Is it a cloud app, or a monsoon season?

You know those days when you watch a cloud in the sky, then it disappears? Yeah, that.

The article made me laugh; "Don't worry, customers, it wasn't hackers who did this, IT WAS US!"
BTW, one of their five values to live by is "Don’t #@!% the customer".

While running a maintenance script, a small number of sites were disabled (deleted?) unintentionally. We’re sorry for the frustration this incident is causing and we are continuing to move through the various stages for restoration (trying to finding yesterdays backups? for 400 customers and copy it back ).
What kind of script was that ?
We expect most site recoveries to occur with minimal or no data loss.
.
Around 400 Atlassian customers have been impacted by the outage, which is only 0.18% of the company's 226,000 customers. Although this only makes for a small group of customers, those affected remain unable to access to their data.

PWAs and web apps installed through Edge may soon feel more native when handling links. Coming soon: another round of 'click this link and get hacked'
Some people never seem to learn

Convenience conveniently conveniencing conveniencers. Or something.
So just like android, you will no longer be able to make a link to a non-PWA page, inconveniencing me?

“Artificial intelligence” is often a dubious label for selling all manner of tech snake oil, but one area where the idea of machine sentience at least feels shockingly realistic is in Natural Language Processing, or NLP, the machine learning systems that learn to parse and respond to human language. Because sometimes a chicken might cross a road, and someone may wonder why

Last week, we learned that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has purchased a 9.2% stake in Twitter and is joining the company's board. Twitter and unfit twit admit split
Yeah, I don't know why I'm posting this either.

I think it's more a case that Twitter board members are limited to owning 14.9% of their common (voting) stock. Musk probably want's to own 51% so he can dictate to them.

Sadly, I think you’re right. Easier to buy up the stock of an existing service, than to try to create a competitor from scratch (or Mastodon in some cases)
