Apple is suing former recycling partner GEEP Canada — now a part of Quantum Lifecycle Partners — for allegedly stealing and reselling at least 103,845 iPhones, iPads and Watches that it was hired to disassemble. Dismantle, resell. Potato, potato

If people are still willing to pay for them, isn't reuse the best environmental policy? Or are the newer phones so much more efficient that electric costs go from negligible to non-existent? Nope.

Most of the exoplanets we've confirmed to date have never actually been seen directly. We confirm their presence by indirect means, such as the effect they have on their host star. And if you look very close, you can see Bob waving

A study published this week showed how DNA could be extracted from bugs trapped in resin. Did they learn nothing from that documentary?

Speaking at the Black Hat Asia conference, Gruss outlined his belief that while it is possible to make a system provably secure – with great effort – this is seldom done in production. "You can have it fast, cheap, or good - pick two"
