Microsoft's Windows 11 Moment 3 update brings a range of new features and improvements, designed to enhance user experience. To read, when you have a moment

Wow! "Moment"! What an impressive word someone came up with!

I'll bet it was a VP with too much time on their hands. And that it wasted a lot of other people's time.

They dropped the letters "ve" after "mo".
And the prefix "bowel".

After a reported seven years of development, Apple’s AR headset is finally here. "I reject your reality and substitute my own"
And at $3500US, that's a lot of reality to reject. Plus, look like you're heading to the ski hill while staying in the office!

Quote: The headset is surprisingly similar to earlier renders — it does, indeed, look like ski googles. Clearly this thing isn’t meant to be worn outside the home or office. Some kind of Freudian slip?

Last month, IBM and the National Eating Disorder Association announced plans to reduce their human staff. Once AI starts taking management jobs, that should change their minds

Quote: Similarly, last month, The National Eating Disorder Association shut down it’s telephone helpline in favor of an AI chatbot named Tessa
Quote: NEDA pulled the Tessa chatbot last week after the nonprofit said on Instagram that it may have given harmful information to those seeking comfort. I wonder whose genius plan that was?

For those of us who have watched automation creep into corporations, this isn't news. The reality is that every time there's an economic downturn companies lay people off and use technology to replace them. Remember the "where's the productivity increases from computer technology?" screaming back in the late 90s and early 2000s? Well, when the recession hit in 2008/2009 all of a sudden it was there as people were laid off. The same exact scenario is occurring now.

As long as it stays there... we already have a bunch of people that post AI crap, but still in green zone. I hope it doesn't rise to that level.

Not-so-magic Moment as optional update automatically installs itself, complete with reported bugs By 'optional', they meant asking you for permission was optional

|

Read the article - it appears that only those who foolishly select "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" are getting this update. This check box doesn't say "Get the latest non-optional updates as soon as they're available".
