One of the new features of Visual Studio 2019 (beginning with version 16.4) and .NET Core 3.1 is the ability to build C++/CLI projects targeting .NET Core. In case that frying pan is feeling too comfortable

The Death Star from the Star Wars franchise is a technological wonder that could only exist in fiction. Proof the Emperor had it destroyed for insurance purposes
Yes, it's 2016 news, but including as Chris keeps sending it over. So, I figured I'd add it to allow him to rest at home

And in all of that, they left out Darth Sharkey's salary. (Someone has to keep their devs entertained.)

Lets have a closer look at one of those figures.
191,547,745,149 bulbs, claimed to cost £41,374,313,130 in electricity per day.
Where I am, electricity costs $0.25 per kWh.
$41,374,313,130 would buy 165,497,252,520 kWh, or put another way, they've calculated power use at the rate of 0.864 kWh per bulb per day. That's 36 watts, 24 hours a day.
Though, if one checks the price of power in London, it's only 13p per kWh, so we need to multiply the consumption by 1.923 to make the figures work. That's a touch over 69W, 24 hours a day.. Hmmmmmmmm!

Don't create an account on there. The password format restrictions are fishy, probably the password are not treated correctly.
I created an account to see if I could download the EPUB but it doesn't work, only the PDF is downloadable anyway.
It chooses the username for you (ok, no problem except that I will forget that in 3...2... what was it again?) but the worst offending part is: "Passwords must be alphanumeric and not contain spaces". With alphanumeric it means strictly alphanumeric, no "special" characters allowed. I don't like it one bit.
