So I don't think they're a pack of idiots; I think they're a pack of devious, scamming b@st@rds.

It would be helpful to know which of the merchants have been affected though

The latest version of Chrome has already automatically rolled out to hundreds of millions of users around the world and is causing some serious problems for Android users. They didn't just cancel it? They're getting better.

"The problem stems from Chrome 79 switching the location it stores web data and a failed migration process has caused this data to be lost"
Non-dependent copy & delete operations, betcha -- if the copy operation fails, the delete operation isn't cancelled (the very reason why I stopped using Total Commander on android).
This is quite obviously one of the many, many negative results of google's fanatical "only hire people who are under 25" policy.

Somewhere, we lost empathy for our end users and other developers. Maybe it is time to change that. "I'd rather be a hammer than a nail"

As organisations shift to becoming technology-focused, developers’ roles have evolved so that they are now playing a crucial role in decision making across their businesses. However, all this newfound alignment isn’t so keenly felt across the whole developer workforce… Never mix Neutral Evil and Lawful Good in the same party

Artificial intelligence appears to be "widening inequality," and its deployment should be subject to tough regulations and limits, especially for sensitive technologies such as facial recognition, a research report said Thursday. "No 9000 computer has ever made a mistake or distorted information. We are all, by any practical definition of the words, foolproof and incapable of error."
