General Chang: I can see you, Kirk. ... Can you see me? Oh, now be honest, Captain, warrior to warrior. You do prefer it this way, don't you, as it was meant to be? No peace in our time. "Once more unto the breach, dear friends."

Quote: The interaction doesn’t always have to involve the rather creepy opening gambit of clandestine street photography, he added: “It also looks for similar people. So you could just upload a photo of a movie star you like, or your ex, and then find 10 girls who look similar to her and send them messages.”
Yeah. Because the latter totally isn't 10x creepier.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies.

Flash storage is too slow for your device's main memory, but RAM is expensive and volatile. Thanks to a breakthrough from IBM, phase-change memory (PCM) might one day replace them both. You had me at "cheaper."

John McAfee, noted liar and one-time creator of anti-virus software, apparently tried to convince reporters that he hacked the encryption used on WhatsApp. Every time I read a statement from McAffee, I picture him finishing it by yelling, “McAfee Rules” with his fists in the air and then jumping through the nearest (closed) window and running away. - Gizmodo User

I’ve used Skype for more years than I care to remember. My Skype username is an embarrassing result of me thinking I was a cool teenager, and I’ve got a big list of important friends and family as contacts. Skype has been the go-to service for me to connect with those friends and family, or even initiate work calls. Over the past couple of years, however, it has been a painful experience. "Need" is a strong word. I think we can probably stand to grumble through it awhile longer.
