A lot of people keep asking about a good list of .net libraries. Hence, we are building this list to save your time and to spread the knowledge. For those times when you think, "I know there has to be something that does..."

Some of these haven't been updates or had any source control changes in years.
NPlot for example hasn't been updated for 7 years.

Yes, you just have to make a judgement as to whether a library is worth using or not. I usually go by recent updates in the first instance. If no recent updates is there a forum that shows current regular active usage of the library?
Also of relevance is whether it's primarily a single developer who maintains it. What happens if they drop dead?

Lol, I like stuff that "just works." Quite often that's not the case. If I have to spend more than a certain amount of time faffing about I give up and try something else.

There's no simple solution for preventing injection attacks. There are effective strategies that can stop them in their tracks. Uh... It's going to sting a little and something else?

A former network engineer for oil and gas company EnerVest has been sentenced to four years in federal prison after pleading guilty in January to sabotaging the company's systems badly enough to disrupt its business operations for a month. A legislative proposal to club patent trolls over the head is now on hold indefinitely after the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), shelved the idea Wednesday — much to the surprise of patent reform advocates.
Trollin', trollin', trollin', senators be trollin'...

Google has recently opened the gates to their voice searching feature with its latest Chrome update. The service is available to all who use the browser and have the language set to US English, and is activated by calling out "OK Google" to their computer to initiate a search. OK Google, how do I turn off that feature?

US English? Ah, I forgot that over here in the UK we use a different kind of English to speak...
