That is so true. I've never found one, and the intelligence factor is severely limited I've noticed, both of the Q'er and the forum design itself. I wonder when Google will start indexing the new Q&A forum? I wonder if it'll stop creating copies of the post you're replying to with its 100's of lines of code drivel that people insist on posting? I wonder if a new forum will result in brighter lights shining in the answers? Ah, but my wonderment is short-lived, replaced with "I really don't care."

RIPE, which manages IP address distribution for a large part of the world, has updated its address space chart showing how many addresses are left. It is clear that unless something unexpected happens RIPE will run out of addresses in November. again/still

Also, so I could mea culpa - parts of an Access e-commerce app I worked on may still be in use by two governments around the world. Sorry to any Canadians or Bermudans that bought a government document a few decades ago.

MS Access is the program that re-aimed my career from Systems Engineer to Application Development 20 years ago.
Where I was at the time was a company that used Access (97) for a lot of the department tasks; and building off of these small apps taught me a lot of VBA. VBA led me to Classic ASP. Classic ASP led me to C#. And yes I migrated from Access to SQL.
Another side effect of using VBA within Access was that I became well versed in using ADO and Stored Procedures. I have very little use for Entity Framework because of it

Many new and sought-after Windows APIs and features such as BackgroundTasks, Notifications, LiveTiles, Share and more, are either not available or not easily callable from non-packaged Win32 applications. What an idea: let the Win32 devs access the Windows API.

So you’re trying to sign off or shut down, but you get a message saying that some program named “G” is preventing you. What’s going on? Who is this mysterious “G” program? The 'G' program is responsible for many 'F' words being uttered
Because text-encoding will always come back to haunt us (moreso than datetime and timezones)
