Go new. You picked out a nice display. You should look into some monitor calibration software/hardware so you can be sure it's color accurate when you're editing photos. Also, you'll be able to plug your peripherals into it without any issues.

The biggest problem with new monitors is that you have to get quite large in order to get anything more than 1080 pixels vertically. All monitors effectively shrank once the HDMI television standard was developed. I have a collection of Samsung monitors that are all 1200 pixels in the vertical dimension, and I have no intention of moving away from them. My main station has four monitors on it, and having that much real estate is fantastic.

The original HD spec was 1080 in the vertical direction. The OP is looking at a 4k monitor which has 2160 pixels in the vertical direction. There are 8k monitors out there with 4320 pixels in the vertical direction if you're interested.

I agree on the calibration with that said the original Monitor was precalibrated

I doubt Asus makes the monitor, and it's just glass made by somebody, perhaps sourced from Viewsonic that has been packaged and branded Asus. I use the Dell U2719 at the office, U2722 at home. The last 2 digits represent the year of design, thus 22 means 2022. I'm very happy with them, but they are not 4K monitors, they are 2.5K or 2K plus. I chose Dell because I use Dell computers and don't build my own anymore. The only bummer is the new Dell soundbar which sounds terrible, like an old AM radio from the 70s.

If your going for "the best" add a few bucks and get premium screen.
Myself I got my 43" (4K) six years ago and never looked back. But of course it depends also how large screen your videocard can drive.
43" gives you 2x 21"-windows plus some space at the bottom or a mass of windows easily accessible without Alt+tab.

I was not happy with the 27 in but it seems as mentioned in another post
the manufactures went from 24 to 27 for higher end monitors
Thanks

At least check any fuses. Unplug first! F1, F2, … components on board near power cord input.
Also check external power adapter if it has its own. There was a trend for some years where monitors used external transformers so the displays could be thinner/lighter/etc.
I had a garage door opener with some pluggable fuses; two $5 fuses and it was back in business. Outage was from a nearby lightning strike that also took out a big TV. Big TV cost $150 to repair but was only a few years old, so I did it.

NO external transformer. Power cord direct to power surge suppressor
We are very rural community in the Mountains of Arizona
All the power is underground real surprise after living in growing up in Ohio
I still unplug with thunder storms. Bigger concern is lighting strikes
and fire 14 miles to the east of my house nothing but pine trees and the Apache cows
Thanks for the Advice

I made some Tetris wall art recently, and it only moves pieces randomly (though you can optionally control it via a connected PC's keyboard)
I wanted to make it strategize. How hard could it be, really?
[cs/0210020] Tetris is Hard, Even to Approximate[^]
Hard enough that it's an NP problem in many circumstances and there are research papers on the problem.
I didn't say it had to be good. But apparently even playing badly is almost as hard as playing well.

I recently learned there's a whole community of tetris players who try to beat best scores.
Its was believed there was a best score x and after that pieces moved so fast that it was impossible to get it right.
That was until someone invented "tapping", where you could hit the buttons a lot faster.
Then they got to buggy levels because of some color schemes.
People got past that too.
This is how I learned: After 34 Years, Someone Finally Beat Tetris - YouTube[^]

The old freeware Hyperoids changed your ship color each level.
If you made it to level 16, your ship would match the background! Maybe the bullets as well.
A lot harder situation with Tetris!
