I know there's a few BC users around here. So...
Just found this out yesterday during a fresh install, but BC5 is finally out of beta.
I'm not affiliated. This ain't no ad. I'm not providing a link. If you use it, you can figure out how to get the new version.

And that's exactly what you said

"Out of beta" does means "not beta" in my native language...

And actually for me too...
I don't know why, my brain read it differently

Old is relative.
Take it as a sign of things to come.

Probably one of my most used apps, besides vscode.
Thanks for the heads up!

For anyone who's using it, any noticeable difference from BC4? I have my (personal) lifetime license and I'd like to know if I have reasons to pay out of my own pocket to update it

I only installed it yesterday, so haven't got a good chance to use 5 much. The first thing I noticed though is the dark mode. Which, while may seem silly... dark mode is noice IMO.
Here's the change log.
I also have a lifetime BC4 license, but for me... for software I think is great I was personally happy to buy a BC5 one. I give the company behind it a bit more money and everyone's a winner. I do the same with Sublime Text.

I saw that upgrading the license from BC4 to BC5 yields 35$ of discount so going from BC4 pro to BC5 standard is free. I updated to BC5 pro anyway just to make full use of the new features including table diffs (I had an old version of BC4 and usually don't have admin rights so updating is not possible, it is not a company issued tool).

Back when I started riding motorcycles (late 70s) I bought a cheap plastic tire pressure meter, and I've kept it ever since - when I moved to cars it went in the glove box.
After 45 years, it finally died and won't read any pressure greater than 28psi.
So I order a new one, that looks identical!
It arrived today, and as soon as I tried it it blew itself to pieces - the plastic "crystal" went thataway, the nozzle part flew over there, the spring hit me in the face, and the dial stayed in my hand but only got to 20psi. And I know the tire is only 36 psi while the meter is rated at 60 ...
Things just don't last anymore - but Amazon is refunding it and I get to keep the broken bits! (I.e. they don't want to pay to bin it so I get to.)

Scamazon hits again. 99% of the goods are cheap knockoffs with inflated reviews, plus each and every "Scamazon's choice" item is absolute garbage.

I'd noticed that myself.
My annual subscription is due in the next couple of months, and I probably won't renew: it's getting hard to find good quality items so next day delivery is getting irrelevant, the price has gone up 17% this year, and the Video ads are winding me up! Buggered if I'm paying more to get rid of ads they only added to annoy me into paying to get rid of them.*
I'll buy crap from FleaBay and watch Netflix instead ...
* And I'm sure they are just to annoy - otherwise they wouldn't be twice as loud as the actual programmes ...

I still use it because of usefulness (and the delivery to locker), but it drives me mad 90% of the times.

I remember buying a pair of headphones from Corwin on Amazon. I didn't like them and provided an honest 3 star review. The seller reached out and offered me free product to switch the review to 5 star. I lowered it to 2 stars and called out this practice which pissed them off via the additional pleas to change it. Rate inflation is crazy, but people do anything for free stuff they don't actually want.
