This is very much down to the opinion of the Police officer and the ability of the car owner to argue.
For example, had the Thomas car had its cylinder made from a big plastic drum, the owner could argue the car posed no danger to pedestrians (this is the only failing of the car so far as I can see) and been right.
It cones down to argument, and a reasonable position.
Top Gear have the weight of fame behind them though, so they can argue pretty much whatever they want. Take their Eagle iThrust, with the square aluminium bonnet. Sharp, but made of a soft material.
Generally you can pretty much do what you want with cars in the UK though, and use them on the road. I have certainly had fun doing so over the years!
The animation movie (using dolls, not digitally generated) was made using a small size model, but as the YouTube movie shows, a full scale car was also built. I believe that the radar on the trunk is actully operational.
The car was on several tours through Europe during the 1980 and 90s, and caugt some attention. Today I believe that the car is located at the museum dedicated to the works of its creator, Kjell Aukrust.
I've always been extremely careful not to become the butt of jokes while communicating with my team. And I would really watch out for the words that could potentially toss the meaning/context out for a joke.
We've been dealing with a feature that has this word "Shift". Like "Shift-Resource".
One poor freaking day, Today. It's already 30 mins that I sent the message & it's guaranteed everyone read it to the final ".".
Now I'm scrolling back in Slack & finding it read "SH*T-Resource".
"I'll take care of this Sh*t Resource"
I could hear that freaking giggles all over. Just edited & corrected the typo, but no use in defusing a bomb that's already blown off you see. lol
Starting to think people post kid pics in their profiles because that was the last time they were cute - Jeremy.
