And in England they are complaining about 34 Celsius? Shoot that's only 93 Fahrenheit.
Here in Georgia we hit that no problem and add in 80% humidity. When it gets to 100 I call that "Smack you in the face hot" because that's what happens when you step outside.
What is worrying is not that they try it, what is worrying is that they do achieve it.

A few years ago Walmart was installing the fancy Bosch cameras and software packages for facial recognition via social media matching, and using this to create customer profiles etc. The revelation of this never really went anywhere, just made some people look like paranoia freaks and dismissed as it's a public place and you don't have privacy in public.
As a developer, I see opportunities for price comparison apps... But they probably will just block those via their technology. Maybe I should just use the VPN to my house.
People (particularly my fellow Americans) are so programmed for instant satisfaction that they don't plan ahead, which leads to impulse buying and if they do hesitate they believe the first thing when they browse the net. Control the net and you control those people.

Easy solution.. don't use the Amazon-provided WiFi in their store. In the US at least, they can't jam the cellphone networks, so they can't force you to use them as an internet provider. If you don't use their net feed, then they can't snoop on you and attempt to control what you view & think.
