What do these words have in common? They are all roughly synonymous (confusion / disorder), they all follow the same rhythmic pattern, and they all start with the letter "h". Question is, how did so many words having this structural similarity happen to have the same approximate meaning?

This isn't a riddle. I'm just genuinely curious. Any ideas or theories?
