I received some spam mail today - NO WAIT - not spam Email, spam snail mail. Would you believe it?
What lengths will these people go to. I thought the economics of sending email spam were pretty clear, but spending real money on paper, printing ink, window envelopes and postage stamps has to mean that it's a lot more lucrative than I ever imagined.
Oh, and by the way, the message was the usual, in fact it could almost have been copied and pasted from a spam email. Somebody with a similar name to mine was halfway through a business deal and had an accident in China and died intestate, and there's $10.5 million up for grabs, and the spammer only wants a 50% cut after expenses, and I can have the rest if I keep quiet and tell no-one. Yea, fine.
