My brother has his girls there and reckons £40-50,000 for the two with all fees and ancillary costs.

The current fees are a tab over £15k, but then you can add on all the leetle extras - lunch, school coach, trips, extra curricular activities, etc - and the price can go way up. As I said, my brother's girls are both as the school and at the peek he was closer to the extra £10k each. Now his eldest is in upper 6th she no longer does so many extras and his younger one only does every single sport going.

I was removed from the local primary school and sent to a private day school, after my brother went from top of his class to failing his 11 plus exam in the space of two years. When my parents went to talk to the headmaster to find out what had gone wrong, they were sent away as he had not asked to see them.
I remember my parents sitting me down and telling me that the new school was very expensive and we would have to have a cheaper holiday that year. The school cost 96 pounds per year in 1965.
As for the holiday we stayed in a wooden cottage in Devon with a leaking roof, no electricity, gas lamps and with cows that invaded the garden at night - best ever, fantastic, although thinking back you did have to be careful where you trod in the morning!

I swear we stayed in that same cottage! Though not because I got sent to an expensive school, but because my parents were poor.
We had to kick 'road clean wit toungs'etc.
