I am glad I did it though. My software won awards and got me a very good job at the company I sold the business to. I just had no interest in the business side of it. I kind of knew that would be the case before I started but I rather hoped I would just settle into the role but it never happened. I made some decent money out of the sale and I enjoyed my time as my own boss so it was worth doing.
Well done mate, do enjoy the early period while it is still fun to chase the contract/jobs and the running of the business has not ground you into misery. Like RugbyLegue I got out of my own company many years ago. If you are not at least part businessman it is a right royal PITA.
I bless the day I gave it up and went back to contracting.
