Nike in second place!?? You are kidding me! They put woman n children to work 12hs/day in Asia!!
That was exactly my first reaction...I can't believe a company notorious for using child labor is on this list. I remember back in the day, they paid Michael Jordan more for endorsements per year than all their factory workers combined. It's probably the same for whomever they are endorsing today.
List of mo (as in more) Stehthical companies. Stethical is old world slang for 'without a noticeable heart beat'. It has roots in Stethoscope, used to listen to ones heartbeat. So you see it is actually a list of More companies without a noticeable heart.
After all it has Google on it which is about as afr from Ethical as you can get with its' "If you don't want us to help law enforcement discover everything you are doing then don't do anything you don't want anyone to know about" approach to privacy (kind of hard to even call it privacy), and thats a dead giveaway that this is no list of ethical anything’s.
No, not that kind... Nightcrawlers. In the garden.
Curious little creatures, I watched them for about an hour after depositing them around the trees in the yard. When I got them from Walmart (the bait fridge) they were chilly and immobile. I watered a bit, then churned up the soil with a rake before deploying them. At first they just lay there, comatose. Then as warmth seeped into their little boneless bodies they began to toss about, untying themselves from the knots they arrived in. I noticed a pattern - they shun smooth bits of ground and seek out broken parts where they can gain a foothold, such as it is. Then they quite swiftly burrow into the soil until exhausted, taking a rest break with about half of their bodies still exposed to the world. After a 20 minute coffee break they resume their travels underground and disappear entirely about an hour after launch.
I hope they burrow deeply; summer is coming. And yes, this really is what we do for entertainment on a Friday night in Bullhead City. Pathetic, isn't it?

About four years ago I started a couple of worm families in my raised bed gardens. Finally last year they showed up in the spring in abundance. I had 7 foot tall roma tomato bushes, okra plants that were wildly productive and some huge honking eggplants.

OKRA! An essential ingredient in Singapore Fish Head Curry. Yes, I do cook that recipe here in Oz, but in deference to the other eaters' sensibilities, I use fillets not heads. Ate it for lunch at least weekly when I was in Sing.
