Mine would be working at getting a tan on a beach in Hawaii (or somewhere similar) being waited on hand and foot by beautiful waitresses, my wife at my side(and not minding the waitresses or my looking at them), laptop in hand, working on whatever project suits my fancy at the moment.
I'm pretty much doing it, quite frankly. Working with really really smart people for a cool company that manufactures communication satellites, and I'm helping to write the software for designing/constructing the satellites.
When I retire, I plan to go back to work at a hardware store. I may only be a door greeter and a shelf stocker, but everyday I will get to meet new people, and talk to them face-to-face, and help them find the tools and accessories that let them get their jobs done. I'm sure that there will be the odd customer that will make me want to take a hammer to their head, but I promise to show great restraint. Why a hardware store? Well ever since I was a little guy, I've been building things all my life. So when I retire, it will be time to give some of that experience back to others.
I am Canadian. [heard in a local bar]
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is. [Yogi Berra]
Porn seems like it would be hard. Besides there is the ethical dilemma. Personally, I would like to get paid to solve problems in computer science. Unfortunately, I am lacking in ear and nose hair and do not have a philosophy degree.
I know a developer who worked for a strip club. According to him, they don't always pay and the goons they sick on you can be rather intimidating. And he never really got the chance to do on-the-job testing (if you catch my drift). Kinda killed the dream for me.
