I had cataract surgery on both eyes - a couple years apart. I had fancy Alcon PanOptix multifocal lens installed.
No more glasses! Near, mid or far - it's all good!
The only con is small coronas around lights at night.

It's probably the fastest "reward" surgery you can get - almost immediate improvement apparently.
An elderly neighbour had it done and could see clearly for the first time in years before she got home. It continued to improve for a couple of days as well. The important thing was to remember the post op eyedrops to keep infection at bay.
I had to do them for her three times a day because her hands shook too much to get them in there!

I have to take 3 drops 4 times a day for a month...because eyes are done 2 weeks apart. Plus glucoma drops 2ce a day. Plus artificial tears many times a day.

yup had it done in 2018. went from legally blind to 20/20 in a week (had each eye done a week apart). Plus I realized my 3D vision also returned with a surprise. I did not realize i was also blind in 3D.
Amazing, and still seeing everything great.

Belated "welcome to the club". Had mine done several years ago. Left lens close for reading, right one for distance. Just had them both zapped with a laser to clear off something forming,seems to go with the territory some few years after surgery. The wife had similar experience and success.
The trees have leaves again, instead of green blur. Only wear glasses when driving, to make things clearer for left (reading) eye.
Senior: I am getting old enough that any of my friends who made it to heaven figure I didn't make it.
